Introduction
The farmers came together to form a cooperative to bargain power for better prices. In December that same year, GIZ under the Market-Oriented Agriculture Programme (MOAP) got in touch with this group of farmers and sent them to Shai Hills for training in good Agricultural practices.It was at the meeting that they got introduced to the benefits of organic farming. Having brought into the idea of organic pineapple farming, the farmers underwent further training spread over three years and became expects in the organic pineapple farming. Committed to not turning their back on organic farming, the farmers in 2015 came together to form ACOPPS AND AMOPPA ORGANIC PRODUCERS AND EXPORTERS LIMITED.
